• Changed order: Hadlar ritual and gathering call is shown before leaving Brass on the island
• Does not show that Soldiers stayed on the island with Brass
• The Captain does not show the rest of the world's structure
• Flazzard's killings of two soldiers are less explicit, the ice statue breaking from afar.
• Removed Popp and Maam's joke: "Dai is being treat as a kid by him" "but he is a kid".
• Removed Popp telling that Hyunckel has an untrustworthy face and Maam teasing him on his own.
• When Hyunckel reveals his identity, the other Legion Commanders are shown in the background instead of a giant skull.
• Hyunckel's design already has the skull beltbuckle instead of the same as Dai
• When Popp first meets monster he yells "Skeletons" instead of a more generic "monsters". When Hyunckel sends his troops, he calls them undead soldier (しりょうの兵士, Shiriyo no Heishi) instead of skeleton soldier (しりょうのきし, Shiriyo no Kishi), probably to not contradict the colour scheme used onscreen.
• The Legion Commanders seating chart is changed and they now have their colour assigned. Only the colour and not the position correspond to Vearn's six-pointed symbol.

Trivia

• Countries' names in the subtitles use the spelling of the eyecatchers' amp instead of the opening's one: Orzam instead of Ohzame
• The double shots on Flazzard's two halves in his first scenes was already done in the 1991 adaptation, which is not in the manga.
• A cut from Dai's fight against Hyunckel is reusing animation from Dai's fight against Deroline in episode 1
