• Popp celebration of Hunckel's defeat is toned down. Dai does not warn him and he does not bleed when punched by Hyunckel. Hyunckel is not smoking from the Zapple impact
• Maam runs to Hyunckel directly instead of going to the injured party.
• Avan strikes down a mummy before going against Bartos
• Bartos is sent flying by Hadlar's punch while in the manga his body just collapse in the same place he was standing. Hadlar's robe shows more battle damages, including the torso cut by the Avan Strash
• The Soul Shell is heard before being put to Hyunckel's ear.
• Hyunckel is more specific about the impossibility of using magic with a sword: it's to engulf a sword within a spell.
• Popp's vision of a martial artist fighting unconscious is not against someone with a toothbrush moustache.
• Hyunckel does not have a vision of a mage with a warrior when seeing Dai's Magic Sword
• Dai is shown shaking off the remaining lightning of his sword.
• Maam casts a midheal spell on Hyunckel
• Hyunckel's vision of Crocodine is not a flashback of their battle.
• Flazzard uses a chimaera wing to escape.
• Baduck does not react to the volcano erupting
• Crocodine and Hyunckel's lights are blacked out on the six-point symbol of Vearn.
• No narration after the destruction of the Underground Palace.

Trivia

• Although Dai says the Japanese name for Zapple in his Magic Sword attack, the subtitles instead simply use Zap.
• This is one of the first episode to show human red blood, in the other episodes only monsters blue blood was shown. Leona's soldiers are briefly seen shedding blood from the evil scorpion attack in episode 2.

Error

• English subtitles once use 'lighting' instead of 'lightning'. Flazzard says 'That a shame'.
