The Strand

The Strand is a location in Dragon Quest XI.

Story[]

Road to Yggdrasil[]

The party head to Lonalulu from The Strand with a message from Michelle to her beloved Kai. However, the Kai they seek passed away years ago; so when they visited Lonalulu, the village eldress tells them of another Kai: her grandson Kainui. They find him near a pier. When he hears the mermaid's message during the luau, he is angry at first, fearing that the people of Lonalulu will mistreat him and his mother for their association with mermaids. He also reveals that the Kai that Michelle loves is named Kainoa and is actually his grandfather. The party can either tell Michelle the truth or lie to her but either way they'll get Lorelei's harp and progress on to Nautica.
