Greetings!

Swordzman at your service. After a year and a half of vacancy, I've stepped in to the role formerly filled by a user named Ellis99, which means you might see some strange things going on. This was brought about by what I'll call an emergency: we've got a few solid editors doing the grind day in, day out; but none could manage the operational side of the Wiki because of the vacancy. So, on or about 6 months in, I started getting notices from the Wiki about adoption. I was thinking about it, but I know very little of the Dragon Quest universe save how to play. My edits were barely above 500, and I'm busy managing other things on other wikis. I didn't have much in the way of time to handle a project this massive.

But, around midyear 2018, the absence of an admin was quite cleverly taken advantage of by a troll who shall remain nameless. I had to do something, and do it fast! To that end, I followed the link and applied for adoption of the wiki.

At first, I had fallen just short, as I tend to pop in and fix things as I see them. This was July. They told me I had to find a 7-day stretch to edit and get the tools I needed.

I finally found it, but in September, just formatting things that for a long time went unformatted.

So, here I am. I still don't know a lot about programming a wiki, but I think I've brought a few aboard with enough equity invested that they might be able to pick up where the last guy left off, and maybe teach me a thing or two about how all this works.

To The IT 15, Macdawg, and Frostare: are you ready to take on the challenge now before this fandom? Fellow editors: will you help this assembled team out and keep things square? Because this is a community, a vibrant one, that would not exist without your support.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
