- Thanks for telling. The images you uploaded with .jpg, will be converted to .png and with better names. Ellis99 VII & VIII 20:28, November 21, 2015 (UTC)
- Well, I tried to make the monster images in PNG format but not in the way you do it like no white background when you upload them. Any way on how to do this? The_IT_15
- Apparently, not your only source. And you don't waste any time, do you? ;) Anyway, rest assured, I come in peace. Was just wondering if you know of any sources I don't know about. Maybe, we can help each other out. Shoot me a line over at .org, okay? - ▫ 16:41, November 23, 2016 (UTC)
- I was only kidding about the pictures. Don't worry about it. Thanks for the link, it'll come in handy! - ▫ 21:06, November 23, 2016 (UTC)
- Please do the Terry's Wonderland category properly. Ellis99 VII & VIII 19:54, December 12, 2015 (UTC)
- I need help with Wyrtle's categories, since it reappeared in X through 4.1. Also, please help with Spitnik, since it officially reappeared in X, ala Satyr, one of its comrades from Rhapthorne's army. Macdawg (talk) 23:12, February 21, 2018 (UTC)

- Could you tell me where you got this image from? Ellis99 VII & VIII 10:03, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
- I found it while looking up monster names in japanese on google. I'll try to find the website for it later but that'll be a while. The IT 15 (talk) 16:54, January 1, 2016 (UTC) The_IT_15
When it comes to translated names, could you use the romaji name. It can be found in the bottom left corner when using Google Translate. The version your using is the translated version, not the romaji one. Ellis99 VII & VIII 06:20, June 19, 2016 (UTC)
Hello, first of all I hope you had some amazing holidays! The newest Dragon Quest XI website had an updated image for Toady. I also wanted to say thanks for the high-quality monster images for the Bestiary, where did you find them?Frostare (talk) 04:53, December 29, 2016 (UTC)
I got those pics from the 25th anniversary book by pressing on the book on my scanner to get those hard to get monster pics, and I'm using the DQX guide book and the DQM2 3DS guide book I got while in Japan. The IT 15 (talk) 23:09, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
Hi IT, just want to say that images from Dragon Quest org isn't allowed. It's been a policy that hasn't been written for about six months. Just wanted to let you know :) Ellis99 VII & VIII 11:08, January 13, 2017 (UTC)
Ever think abut adopting this space?
Hello. I'm a contributor, like you. I see that you are one of the more active users here on DQW. I'm also the admin over at Wiki of Mana. Nope, don't mean to poach; but if you happen to add another wiki to your list, we could use a few heads over there all the same. Anyhow, I want to tell you about adoption of a Fandom and how I got there.
You might have seen a very big button while doing what you do. That will take you to Community Central's Adopt-a-Wiki thread. You fill out a form, and the staff there will review your request and, if you meet their guidelines, you might get the tools you need to help keep things humming over here. That's pretty much it. I'll see you when I see you. Swordzmanp236 (talk) 20:18, March 27, 2018 (UTC)
Grim Reaper, Insane Raven, Ursa Minor, and Untamed Panda fixes
I may have been gone for some time, but I did some edits here and there. The Grim Reaper image I got was scanned from the 25th Anniversary Monster Art book, the Insane Raven and the Ursa Minor were scanned from DQXI 3DS V-Jump Guide, and the Untamed Panda was from the recarnated monster article(Image is from Nintendo Everything). I would like some help in making the horn tip covered in black more visible, along with the Grim Reaper not have the kanji and stuff around the scythce, so it can be a good image just like the Raving Reaper. Hope everything is well. Macdawg (talk) 21:13, April 29, 2018 (UTC)
Ahh good ol' Dasurikanto/Ursa Mega
I'll do my best but it'd be later on the day. If the english translation staff decide to turn it into a Bewarewolf recolor in the future, I wonder how they'll manage, though.Frostare (talk) 19:12, June 6, 2018 (UTC) It's not a Bewarewolf recolor. It's an entirley different monster. That's the translation's confusion genuis.Macdawg (talk) 20:50, June 6, 2018 (UTC)
Dear The IT 15,
my name is Hydrotoxinlaser (Hydro 📢 (talk)Hydro) and i'm a collaborator from the german Dragon Quest Wiki.
I want to ask, if it is possible to agree upon a cooperation between your DQ Wikia and ours.
That will mean, that we can exchange informations and screenshots. Some collaborators from us can help in your Wiki and inversly, so both sides have advantages.
If you have questions you can ask me.
Remaning DQX monsters to make full articles of
Dragon Quest X 4.3 is almost out by next Thursday, with DQXI 2 days before. Here are some monster articles to fully create/expand on:
Just wanted to fill you in on a promotion, so congrats!
I've given you full control of the wiki as this space was lacking admins; you should have all the tools to manage up in the top right corner of the nav bar.
Because there's a lot of work to be done, I've two other guys I want to promote with you. My goal is still to assist when I can. I don't know a lot about the Dragon Quest franchise myself, but I have confidence that you and these others will be able to keep folks updated on all things DQ.
Thank you, but what does BUREAUCRAT and LOTO REINCARNATION mean? The IT 15 (talk) 01:59, September 21, 2018 (UTC)
- Someone must have changed the "ADMIN" badge to something Dragon Quest-y, chief. As for the Bureaucrat tag, they get the power to promote/demote, as I understand it. Swordzmanp236 (talk) 02:05, September 21, 2018 (UTC)
Dragon Quest X Monsters that need articles created.
I have just uploaded a bunch of DQX monster artwork from those SE-MOOK Guides, and yet, no articles were created for Mekameow, Pumpkabinet, Tatari, Deadley Blade, White Imp, Asura King, Mace Bull, Agehafly, Coral Dimos, Tappit Hermit, Dark Buzzard, Paladinsaurus, Grigory Baby, Conquistador Ghoul, and others, like Hemographic Beast and Neon Squid. Info for DQX 4.4 would be ready by Nov. 28, and this wikia needs to get those Madesagora/Nadraga minions done before 4.4 brings back some monsters/introduce more monsters. Even Mortamor, who left holes in the Real and Dream Worlds is displeased about the DQX monster mess. So let's get to it! Ciao.Macdawg (talk) 23:26, November 11, 2018 (UTC)
I have two (loosely related) questions about DQ IX wiki pages.
Would it be beneficial to add Style information to armour details?
- Thonky's style-list page lists values for style points on DQ IX armour.
- This information does not appear to be listed in-game anywhere that I can find, and the Equipment stats template does not have an entry for it. I'm not sure whether there's another way to determine this value other than to check a character's Style value after equipping each item.
Which style is preferred for displaying item info/stats?
- Inline tables, such as on Metal_king_armour and Boxer_shorts.
- This seems to be the most common, although how much information is shown within a single table varies.
- Expanding categories, such as on Agate of evolution, Rusty_helmet and Black_knickers.
- These often use the Equipment_stats template mentioned above.
Some pages, such as for Boxer Shorts, have an Info section, then a few details, then a Locations section with a few more details, then Locations, and so on.
Other pages, such as for the Metal King/Slime Amour, put all that information into a single table.
Wiki Manager introduction
Hello, I'm Flanqer, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for the Dragon Quest Wiki. I introduced myself in Discussions, but wanted to drop you a personal message since you're one of the active admins. I'm here to help your community, and to be a liaison to full-time Fandom Staff. If you have any questions related to the wiki, whether it's about editing, styling, infoboxes, policy, etc, please contact me on my talk page.
Thanks for the new monster images
Thanks so much for finding the elusive Total Nutter! Just wanna ask, where did you find them? If you don't have an image of the Nutter and the Utter Nutter I can modify them myself and upload their recolors here, if that's OK with you and the admins. Would that be OK?
You're welcome, I actually got the art from a card game from here: [] Problem is that there used to be a website showing alot of these cards, but its not there anymore. The IT 15 (talk) 06:02, July 22, 2019 (UTC)
From what I understand and what I've looked at, it's an issue with the template code. Currently, the monster info template is hardcoded to put in the extra syntax which doesn't work with the tabber modification. The character info template does not have this bug. If you can figure a way to match the two, you're golden. But, if we make just one change to either template, we're going to have to parse through thousands of pages to fix it. You think you and Dawg can handle the load? Swordzmanp236 (talk) 03:57, August 7, 2019 (UTC)
Memories Lane Thanks.
Thanks for you help on the various Memories Lane pages. I really do appreciate it. Now if only I could complete the Memoriam bosses' bestiary entries.. KingofDespairSS (talk) 12:30, September 20, 2019 (UTC)@KingofDespairSS
Quintet Wiki Affiliation
Hello, I am an admin on Quintet Wiki. I was wondering if you would be interested in being affiliated with us.
I'm getting the names from the game itself. Since I really like and know a lot about monsters, I'll be focusing on just that. I was planning to do the Italian ones even before you told me to, but I'll do it when I have time and when I finish the rest.Frostare (talk) 05:17, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
Bloody hand is arguably not the same monster as "blood hand"
IT, was it you who edited the "Mano Sangrienta" article at the spanish wiki? I'll have you know that in Japan there is a debate that the ブラッドハンド from Dragon Quest 2, and the majority of DQ games, is NOT the same monster as the ブラッディハンド from Dragon Quest 6, 11 and Torneko 2.
Yes, I know they look exactly the same and I know all the english versions call them "Bloody Hands", but in Japanese they're called different and this difference has even been respected in the remakes. Think of how the Caper Tiger is not the Weartiger despite looking exactly the same, same with the Stingslime which turned out to be a different monster than the Man o' War.
You english speakers are not the only ones to fall for this confusion, the official Japanese Monster Guide also considers them the same monster and there's some people arguing that it was only called that because of the "character limitation". However, if this was the case, why are they not called like this in DQ7 where they had even more characters to write their names? That game even has kanjis! So character limitation is not an excuse there! I'll also have you know that the spanish translation got it right by calling the ones in DQ6 (the ブラッディハンド) "Mano Sangrienta", a different name than "Mano Ensangrentada" (DQ2), but even they fell for the english translation's... "mistake" and called the ones in DQ11, "Mano Ensangrentada".
The Japanese wiki also treats them as different monsters because they have maintained some traits that tell them apart, such as they always summon Trolls. I know this is confusing, I myself am not too sure about their identity... but unless an official confirmation is given, they will be considered different monsters in the spanish wiki and I'll appreciate you respected that. Thanks!
You guys are free to keep it at the same monster for this wiki becuause I admit my argument is not the strongest one on this subject, but I'm not alone. If you wanna know more about this, check out this article. It's in Japanese but Google Translate can do the trick for the most part:
Sure! Well, sadly for that I don't know if I have them all but I'll see what I can do. By the way, did you check out my argument about "Bloody Hand" being two different monsters? =) Frostare (talk) 01:57, December 15, 2019 (UTC)
Looks like we got a live one here, as in someone adding Smash information without the source. Four articles have been tagged. If we can’t confirm what’s being posted, go ahead and roll it back. If we can confirm, then please try to write this out as professionally as you know how. Edit warring with small-timers is not an option. Thanks. Swordzmanp236 (talk) 21:50, January 16, 2020 (UTC)
