Vampire succubat is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics[]
The vampire succubat is directly related to the original in that it is a transformed state of the succubat rather than just being a similar looking species. As the bestiary entry from XI states, these night-fliers became so flirtatious that their bodies changed shape: their skin is now black with a blood red wing membrane and inner ear, their eyes have become more human-like with white sclera and red pupils, the fur ruffles have taken darker pink hue, and their nose has been replaced with a heart emblem while a normal nose has appeared in the center of the face.
The vampire succubat does not have any HP-draining abilities, owing their name to their wings, but they do take their seductions seriously: they always have a spare pair of fishnet stockings on hand, as well as a pretty betsy to spring when their charms aren't up to snuff.
