First appearing in this game, PoisonAir is an upgraded version of PoisonGas and costs 4 MP to use. PoisonGas will grow into PoisonAir when a monster reaches Level 14 with at least 98 HP and 84 Intelligence.

PoisonAir now requires 154 intelligence to upgrade from PoisonGas.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[]
Acting the same as in previous Monsters series appearances, it is learned by investing 10 skill points into the Mortamor skillset, 19 skill points into the skillset, 38 skill points into the Toxifier skillset, and 80 skill points into the Bad Breath skillset, costing 4 MP to use once again.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series[]
Reappearing from Battle Road II onwards, it is the blue button skill for the Poison needle weapon that exhales and damages all enemies with a breath from the poisonous stinger in its mouth, while potentially envenomating them.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker Professional[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by the same skillsets once again and by investing 38 skill points into the Wormonger skillset, costing 4 MP to use once again. In the Professional version of the game, it is instead learned by investing 15 skill points into the Mortamor skillset
Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D/SP[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by investing 25 skill points into the Mortamor skillset and 50 skill points into the Dr. Snapped and Wormonger skillsets, costing 4 MP to use once again.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key/SP[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by investing 50 skill points into the Arachnida the Enigma skillset, as well as the Mortamor, Dr. Snapped, and Wormonger skillsets once again, costing 4 MP to use once again. Venom Breath can be used by the following skillsets:

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by investing 20 skill points into the Mortamor and Zombie+ skillsets, and 100 skill points into the Dr. Snapped skillset, costing 4 MP to use once again. Venom Breath can be learned by the following skillsets:

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by King Bubble Slimes at level 48, Killer gilas at level 36, Drag-goofs at level 30, and Killer Moths at level 32, as well as Lickspittles via their Talent Blossoming. It costs 23 MP to use, and is also used by the Malign vine during the Dragon Quest VII event and Kiefer's Battle Road story.
