The Vortex Axe is a weapon in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai[]
An axe wielded by Crocodine that is able to cast woosh-type spells, Crocodine using the command "Howl Vortex Axe" to do so. As long as the red gem on its centre is whole, the axe can be repaired.
Its blade is broken by Dai's bare hand at the battle at Romos Castle and later repaired.
It is totally broken in the battle against Baran, save for its magic jewel, and later crafted into the "Vortex Axe Returns Mark II" by Baduck with Papanican Metal. This new version is totally destroyed by Vearn.

- Based on Crocodine attributes' filler page, the Baduck-restored axe has a +50 attack bonus.
