The Water Spirit is one of the Four Spirits in Dragon Quest VII. She is responsible for overseeing the Hero and his party's journey to reclaim the world from Orgodemir.
Appearance[]
The Water Spirit's appearance is of a bluish-purplish mermaid deity, with a gem centered on her forehead and fins extending from her limbs.
Personality[]
As the Great Spirit responsible for the Hero's journey into the future, the Water Spirit is benevolent, wishing to ensure that him suceeds in restoring each sealed land.
In her DQVII dialogue with the Hero and his companions, the Water Spirit is reluctant to battle him, choosing to do so for enjoyment only.

Dragon Quest VII[]
As the world was sealed and split into fragments, the Water Spirit guided the Hero at several points in his journey to reclaim each land from the Demon Lord Orgodemir, such as allowing him to read the ancient language of the Roamers and helping him and his companions breathe underwater to defeat Gracos.
It is later heavily implied that Sharkeye's unborn son, is in truth the Hero himself, having been transported by the Water Spirit into the future from the past, from Lady Anaïs womb into Pearl's.
Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden (manga)[]
Arus receives numerous visions from the Water Spirit in the Warriors of Eden manga, leading him to the discovery of the first stone tablet fragment.
