Weird Dance is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It damages the MP of a party member.
While still an enemy only skill, it is a random action that can be used by Torneko in battle to drain MP from enemies. It is also used by Peepers, Wimps, Lugworms, Sasquashes, Stump grumps, Pocus poppets, and Damselflies in battle.
While still usable by monsters, it can be learned by recruited Drackies, Goodybags, Fandangowes, Magic marionettes, Beastmasters, Hulagans, and Snowbirds. It is also used by Fandangowes, Hula ghouls, Suckling ockers, Beastmasters, Deathsquads, and Slave-drivers, as well as Goodybags and Magic marionettes once again.
Now learnable by human characters, it is learned by advancing to Rank 3 of the Dancer vocation and Rank 4 of the Merchant vocation. It is also used by Wild carrots, Sluggernauts, Crayzees, and Mad mallards, in addition to Mud mannequins and Magic marionettes once again using it. In addition, it is learned by recruited Mud mannequins and Sluggernauts when they join the party and recruited Lipses at level 15, though only in the SNES version.
Acting the same as in previous games, it is learned by advancing to Rank 4 of the Dancer vocation (Rank 3 in the 3DS remake), and by mastering the Lips vocation. It is also used by Scarfish, Prancing pillars, Cavorting columns, Elepuses, and Mimics in battle, in addition to Bags o' laughs, Goodybags (During the Grody Gumpdrops boss fight), Mud mannequins, and Magic marionettes once again.
An enemy only skill once again, it is used by Bags o' laughs, Treefaces, Mud mannequins, Treevils, Mimics, and Magic marionettes once again.
Used by Ragged reapers in battle, in addition to Bags o' laughs, Treefaces, Treevils, Sluggernauts, and Mimics once again.
Once again an enemy only skill, it is used by Dancing devils, Stumpkins, Dream monks, Chest mimics, Holly Olivers, Pumpkin kids, Minidemons, Lil' tykes, Multicolour mannequins, and Gold-plated puppets, in addition to Catulas, Treefaces, Scarfish, Prancing pillars, Cavorting columns, Mud mannequins, Magic marionettes, Treefaces, Treevils, Wimps, and Mimics once again.
Still an enemy only skill, it is used by Caped caperers, in addition to Mud mannequins, Magic marionettes, Gold-plated puppets, Stump grumps, and Goodybags once again. In this entry, however, in addition to draining an enemy's MP, it also allows that enemy to regain said drained MP as its own.
