Biography[]
Dragon Quest XI[]
Information regarding Yggdragon is scarce on Erdrea. What is known is that she is regarded as the creator of Erdrea, and the people of the land respects her even more than Yggdrasil herself. The Watchers of old came to Erdrea together with her and they served her until her disappearance, after which they came into service of Yggdrasil. The Guiding light guarded by the Watchers of Havens Above is her fire, and it's holy fire not only drives evil away but is also required to make the Crucible forge appear from within Mount Huji's crater.
Upon defeating Calasmos, restoring peace to Erdrea, the Luminary, Veronica and Serena decided to return the Sword of Light of old to it's resting place inside Yggdrasil's Heart. Upon doing so, it is revealed that the world tree Yggdrasil and the Yggdragon are one and the same. Through a vision created by Yggdrasil's Heart she informs them of her history then congratulate the Luminary for Erdrea's newfound peace and bestows him the title of Erdrick, mightiest of heroes. Before disappearing she informs the group that the darkness would inevitably one day rise again, but she expresses the assurance that, even if the night should consume her, a hero will appear to take the sword in hand and defeat the evil force.
